CHICAGO -- Chicago police are still looking for the hit and run driver that killed a man early Thursday morning.

The victim is 62-year-old Aliser Maldonado. His family called him Ali. They say he was a huge Cubs fan and spent last night cheering the team to victory.

He was headed to work Thursday morning at the Target near Western and Logan. He was almost there when police say a 2005 Chrysler 300 blew through a red light and slammed into Maldonado's Mazda in the 2500 block of North Western.

Maldonado was dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chrysler ditched the car and took off running.

Maldonado leaves behind a wife and three adult sons. His family is asking anyone with information to contact Chicago police.
