Cubs outfielder Ben Zobrist named World Series MVP

CLEVELAND — Cubs outfielder Ben Zobrist was named the MVP of the World Series after supplying the tiebreaking double in the 10th inning of Game 7. Zobrist batted .357 in the series with two doubles, one triple and two RBIs.

His heroics come a year after he batted .261 with four doubles and five runs scored in the Royals' World Series triumph over the New York Mets.
