Boy, 3, critically injured in hit-and-run on Chicago’s Southwest Side

CHICAGO -- Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who critically injured a 3-year-old on the Southwest Side.

It happened at the intersection of 63rd and Natchez just after 6 p.m.

Patrick Zbylut and his family were heading to an uncle's house to get ready for trick-or-treating when he was struck.

He was transported to Loyola Hospital. His family says he is in very critical condition and may have suffered a brain injury.

The vehicle that hit Patrick is described as beige or tan in color, a four-door older model and possibly a Toyotal Corolla.

It was last seen traveling westbound on 63rd St from Natchez toward Harlem Avenue.
