* While the Bulls have won three of the last four games in this series, all three of those contests were decided by two or fewer points (the Pacers’ one win in this span was by 12 points)

* Chicago led by eight points at halftime of its season opener on Thursday. The Bulls went 13-1 last season when they led by 8+ points at the half. But those 14 games were tied for the sixth fewest in the NBA.

* Taj Gibson had 18 points and 10 rebounds in Thursday’s opener. The Bulls have now won their last seven games when Gibson starts and records a double-double.

* Dwyane Wade entered this season a career 28.4 percent shooter from three-point range and made just seven three-pointers all last season. But in his debut for his hometown Bulls on Thursday, he went 4-for-6 from behind the arc. His teams are now 7-1 all-time in home games when Wade has at least four three-pointers.
