A Chicago Cubs fan who wept tears of joy on WGN News when the Cubs clinched the pennant has a new reason to cry.

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel tracked him down for an appearance on last night’s show

Ryan Slagle told Kimmel he was deployed in Iraq the last time the Cubs got this close in 2003 so he missed out then.

But now he’ll be seeing them in the World Series, thanks to Jimmy Kimmel and his show.

Slagle says he didn’t realize cameras were on him when he cried the first time, but he’s been overwhelmed by media requests over the past 48 hours.
