CHICAGO -- Chicago Police issued a warning about a ride-sharing scam on Tuesday.

They say in at least two cases, a suspect has stolen another driver's customer and their credit cards. The latest incident happened Tuesday afternoon in the South Loop.

In both cases, the driver told the customer there was a problem with their card, pretended to swipe it, then asked for their pin.

He then swapped out their card with another, and withdrew money with the stolen card.

Police remind folks to back up their credit card information.

Also, verify the driver that picks you up matches the information on your ride-sharing app.

And if anything happens, call 9-1-1.
