Cook County court clerk waives overdue fines for ‘Amnesty Week’

There’s good news for anyone who owes overdue fines to the Cook County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.

Clerk Dorothy Brown has declared this to be “Amnesty Week.”

The clerk’s office is waiving all collection fees, allowing for thousands to settle their delinquent accounts and avoid additional fees.

Amnesty payments can be made during regular office hours this week, or by phone.
