1,000 more people shot in Chicago this year than compared to same time in 2015

CHICAGO – Chicago has had 1,000 more shootings this year compared to this same time last year, according to the Chicago Tribune.

  The Chicago Tribune, citing police information and data the newspaper compiled, reports that 1,000 more people have been shot in the city this year compared to the same time in 2015.

So far, at least 3,475 people have been shot in the city.

Last year at this time, the figure stood at 2,441.

That’s 1,034 more shootings.

As for murders, there have been at least 595 more, compared to 409 at this time last year.
