Tyler Perry on Chicago violence, who ‘Madea’ is voting for

CHICAGO -- One of the most successful moguls in America walked the red carpet Wednesday night for his new movie "Boo: A Madea Halloween."

Tyler Perry was at Kerasotes Icon Theater in the city's South Loop promoting the latest from his blunt-talking granny persona that all started here in Chicago 18-years ago.

Perry has donated lots of money to the community in Chicago and around the country for social and political change. He told WGN's Dean Richards in an interview that he's concerned about the violence happening in the city.

On a lighter note, "Madea" made a brief appearance on the red carpet and revealed who she will be voting for this election. Find out who in the video player below:
