Residents in Southern California are under an earthquake advisory.

There’ve been more than 100 small quakes and temblors earlier this week, increasing the chances of a major quake near the San Andreas Fault.

Scientists say residents should be on heightened alert through Tuesday.

They estimate the possibility of a major 7.0 quake is as high as one in 100 and as low as one in 3,000.
