CHICAGO -- Some student athletes from around the Chicago area got the surprise of a lifetime today.

They showed up at the Illinois Tech campus in the South Loop, thinking they were going to help out for an event.

Instead, they were surprised with brand new laptops during a special presentation, thanking them for their community service.

Some students coach soccer, others volunteer at their church, while others help out at a food pantry.

The surprise presentation is part of the "Making A Difference On And Off The Field" campaign presented by Buddy's Helpers and the PepsiCo Showdown.
