CHICAGO – A shootout outside a bowling alley in the early hours of Wednesday morning left two men dead in the West Pullman neighborhood.

Just before 1 a.m., police say a man standing on the street exchanged fire with at least one other person who drove by in an SUV. Police say the 28-year-old man who was on foot was shot in the chest and died.

A 34-year-old man was later found dead inside a bullet-riddled GMC Yukon at a Citgo gas station on 111th St. and Emerald.  He had been shot in the head.

A neighbor told WGN there were a lot of people hanging out outside the bowling alley Tuesday night before the shooting.

He said he didn’t hear any arguing before the shooting started.

And while he said he heard ten shots,  based on the number of yellow evidence markers laid out by the evidence techs on the scene, far more shots were fired.
