CHICAGO – Chicago police are searching for a suspect who broke into cars parked in a garage of a South Loop condominium.

The suspect broke into about 20 cars in the garage at the building at 2332 South Michigan.

Residents woke up to the mess Tuesday morning.

The condo has two access points: The front door and the garage.

Residents say they haven’t been any problems in the building but there have been issues in  the neighborhood and an uptick in crime.

Chicago Police Area Central detectives are working the case. Tonight, South Loop residents met with police to discuss issues.
