Police seek suspect in abduction, sex assault of suburban woman

PALOS HILLS, Ill. –Police are searching for a suspect in the abduction and sexual assault of a woman in the southwest suburbs.

Palos Hills police say he approached as the victim in the 10300 block of Harlem Ave.  She was getting  of her car as she arrived home from work around 5 a.m.

Police say he had a gun and got into the car with her.  The suspect forced the victim to drive to a separate location.

Once there, police say the man sexually assaulted her, took her purse containing her wallet and phone, then fled.

Police describe the man as an African-American, age 18 or 19, 5’6 with a thin build.

The victim was briefly hospitalized, but is expected to recover.

Anyone with any information about the suspect is asked to contact police.
