PHOTOS: 131 baby Blanding’s turtles on display at Chicago nature museum

CHICAGO — Welcome to Chicago little fellas! The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum now has 131 endangered baby Blanding’s turtles on exhibit.

The Blanding’s turtle hatchlings measure between 1/2 to 1 inch and weigh less than 1 ounce each.

They will live at the museum for one to two years, allowing them to grow in a predator free environment before being released into the wild.
