CHICAGO -- The Bears second season under John Fox will start this Sunday, when the team travels to Houston.

Former Bear and current radio analyst John Thayer joined WGN Morning News Friday to discuss the Bears season opener.

The Bears, who are coming off only one preseason win, have to formulate trust and confidence in one another.

"When you're getting ready to go down and play a team like Houston at the start of the season, you gotta have the belief that you are ready to play them and ready to beat them," said Thayer.

Thayer would like to see quarterback Jay Cutler "capitalize on the growth he had last year." If the Bears can create a successful run game much of the offensive pressure will be taken off Cutler, he said.

Before the season opener, you can check out the "Bears Block Party" Saturday on Weed Street  from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Bears Drumline will be performing at the block party, and they gave WGN a sneak peek performance.

The Bears will take on the Texans in Houston on Sunday at 1 p.m.
