1 dead, 2 arrested in car jacking; Police seek fourth suspect

CHICAGO – Emergency crews and police are on the scene of an apparent carjacking on the Eisenhower Expressway.

Police say four armed suspects stole a vehicle at gunpoint from Hillside earlier in the day. Police pursued the vehicle. The Illinois State Police became involved when the vehicle got on to I-290.

The car then stopped on the Harlem Ave overpass.

The four suspects got out of the car and fled.

According to police, one suspect jumped from the overpass onto the expressway and suffered fatal injuries.

Two suspects were arrested.

The fourth suspect remains at large.

The investigation continues.
