Suspect sought after child sexually assaulted in store on Northwest Side

CHICAGO -- Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a child in a store on Chicago's Northwest Side.

Around 7 p.m. Monday, the child was approached by a man at the Village Discount Outlet on the corner of Lawrence and Spaulding in the Albany Park neighborhood.

According to a news release, the man then grabbed the child inside the store and sexually assaulted the victim.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect in the store.

The suspect is described by police as a white Hispanic man between the ages of 25 and 40 years. He was seen wearing a gray T-shirt with a white circle on it and gray cargo shorts.
