Bridging generations: Chicago-area students give back to senior citizens

CHICAGO -- Student athletes from dozens of high schools throughout the Chicago area came together today to help enhance the lives of local seniors.

Hundreds of athletes from 64 high schools around the Chicago area converged in a parking lot. Many seniors in high school, honoring seniors in life.

Those from the Buddy's Helpers program gave the gift of board games to senior citizens. They also wrote personal notes to those seniors as well.

The event bridged one generation to the next through the gift of games, from those who are naturals at playing the game.
