SOUTH BEND - There is a simple question on the minds of many Notre Dame fans since the end of the 2015 season.

That's the quarterback position. Will it be DeShone Kizer? Will it be Malik Zaire? Most thought the question wouldn't be answered till the days leading up to the opener against Texas on September 4th.

Brian Kelly threw a curveball at everyone on Wednesday when he announced the Irish would go with a two-quarterback system to start the season against the Longhorns in Austin. Kizer and Zaire will alternate snaps during that game thanks to a strong training camp by both signalcallers.

It was a revelation that dominated the talk of the media day in South Bend and was th that e main part of Matt Fortuna's talk on Wednesday's Sports Feed show. The ESPN writer discussed the QB battle along with other angles with Josh Frydman.
