CHICAGO -- A 3-year-old boy is back with his parents after a carjacking early Tuesday morning.

The boy's dad was delivering newspapers just before 5 a.m. in the 4100 block of North Marine Drive, and left his car running with the child inside.

He told police he saw a white Nissan pull up behind his running car. A white male in his early 20s got out and jumped into the man's car and sped away.

The toddler was later dropped off at Northwestern Memorial Hospital still in his car seat and unharmed.

Area North Detectives are investigating.
