CHICAGO - Maybe there is something that he does that just makes August a better time for the Cubs.

Even after two defeats, Joe Maddon was all smiles at his annual golf tournament at Bryn Mawr Country Club on Monday raising money for his "Respect 90" foundation.

His team is 10-2 in the month of August and 12 games up on the Cardinals in the National League Central. The team is very confident and so are former members of the Cubs that see something special with the 2016 group.

We heard from a few of them on Monday's Sports Feed with Jarrett Payton and Andy Masur. That included a discussion on what has helped the Cubs succeed so far in the hottest month of the year.

That segment is part of the #FeedonThis from Monday's show and you can watch it in the video above.

Of course on Monday there is the usual #MCM segment on Sports Feed.
