SYCAMORE, lll. -- Two people were found beaten to death in a home in west suburban Sycamore, and police are searching for their killer.

85-year-old Patricia Wilson and her 64-year-old son Robert Wilson were discovered in the home in the 16000 block of Old State Road around 5:55 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say they died from "apparent blunt force trauma."

The Wilson's white 2010 four-door Chevy Impala is missing -- it has the license number: 903 0980.

It appears the killer forced their way into the home.

Investigators are looking at the possibility a bike path near the home was used by the killer.  Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity on the bike path is asked to call the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department.

Police are urging residents of Sycamore to keep the doors and windows locked and remain vigilant until an arrest is made.

Anyone with information can contact the sheriff’s office at 815-895-2155 or Crime Stoppers at 815-895-3272.
