Lockdown lifted at Great Lakes naval station; Armed robbery suspect still at large

GREAT LAKES, Ill. — A lockdown has been lifted at the Great Lakes naval station, but the suspect of the armed robbery off base is still at large.

The robbery took place at the Great Lakes  Credit Union at 2525 Green Bay Rd in North Chicago.

A lockdown is also in effect for nearby housing, Burkey Mall and child care centers in the area.

The suspect in the armed robbery is still at large.

The FBI describes the suspect as a male black, wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black ski mask.
