James Shields took the mound today looking to continue his recent success and get the White Sox their first series win since the All-Star break.

Things did not go well from the start when Orioles’ third baseman Manny Machado went deep on a two-run homer to open up the scoring.

After surrendering a home run to J.J. Hardy, Machado knocked his second homer in as many innings, giving the Orioles the six to zip lead.

Matt Albers came in and attempted to stop the bleeding, but Machado would not be denied his third home run in three innings.

This made Machado the first player since Mike Cameron to hit three home runs in the first three innings.

As of now, with four innings left, Machado looks to continue his career best day.
