CHICAGO -- In the shadow of Soldier Field was a party just outside the gates, dedicated to fans and family.

Charlie Burgos brought his boy here.

“Oh yeah, gotta be Bears fans, right when you come out of the womb,” Borgos said.

There’s a first time for everything, especially for Tino Cruz.

“This is my first time seeing the stadium and everything,” Cruz said.

Inside the stadium was the real show, with real Bears, and real Bears fans having their first look at the upcoming team.

“I believe they’re going to be good as long as Cutler gets on his game,” said Burgos. “That’s it. When you’re in trouble, run -- don’t just stand there in the pocket.”

Back outside, players of the future tossed the ball… including Malachi Brown.

When asked what he was doing, “Having fun,” Brown responded.

At the end of the day, before the season begins. That’s what it’s all about.  No wins, no losses, just fun.

“A time where all the fans can get together, enjoy their favorite football team,” said Matt Truttling.
