OAKLAND — Off the disabled list and on to the scoreboard, Jorge Soler is back.

The Chicago Cubs activated the power-hitting outfielder from the 15-day disabled list today.

Soler is the Cubs designated hitter tonight as they begin a three-game series in Oakland.

And hit he did.

In his first at bat, Soler hit a three-run home run on just the third pitch he saw.
