Young At Heart Senior Pet Adoptions

There are so many wonderful older pets in shelters, but often they don’t make it out in time to find a loving family in their golden years. That’s why Young at Heart is building an adoption center and sanctuary in Woodstock IL just for senior dogs and cats.
For 11 years Young at Heart has been working with wonderful foster homes to save senior pets, but with the addition of an adoption center and sanctuary, so many more can find loving families. With the public’s help, Young at Heart will break ground on this very special safe haven for senior pets this coming spring. The shelter will be built on the nonprofit’s 8 acres in Woodstock IL, and will be a homelike facility for older dogs and cats that find themselves homeless. Fundraising is well underway, and Young at Heart invites all pet lovers to be a part of this shelter that is the first of its kind in the Chicago area. To make a donation or to view the naming opportunities, please visit and click on Capital Campaign, or call 847-529-2025.
