2 shot in Lakeview; third shooting in neighborhood this week

CHICAGO — A man and teenage male were wounded in a shooting in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood.

It happened just after 3 a.m. Friday in the 3200 block of North Sheffield Avenue.

The 25-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were outside when they were both shot in the leg. A witness said one of them ran to Belmont Avenue and stopped in front of Blackwood BBQ.

They were both transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where they are in stable condition.

No one is in custody.

This is the third shooting in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood in the last week.

Police say at least seven people have been injured in Chicago shootings since Thursday afternoon.
