CHICAGO -- July was another violent month in the city of Chicago.

The Chicago Police Department released the crime statistics for last month overnight.

There were 65 murders and 362 shootings in the city.

441 people were shot. The number of shootings in July was slightly higher than in June,  but there were seven fewer homicides.
