3 shot, including 15-year-old, in Back of the Yards

CHICAGO — Chicago police say three people have been shot on the city’s South Side.

According to police the shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. on the 1600 block of W. Garfield Blvd. in the city’s Back of the Yards neighborhood.

All three victims were self-transported to St. Bernard Hospital.

One, a 15-year-old boy, suffered a gunshot wound to the hand. He is in stable condition.

Another victim, a 32-year-old man, was shot in the hip. He also is in stable in condition.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the stomach and transferred to Stroger Hospital. His condition is listed as serious, according to police.
