CHICAGO -- Heat and humidity brought another round of thunderstorms to the Chicago area Sunday bringing heavy rain, damaging winds and hail.

Trees were downed in the Elgin area and there were several reports of tree damage in Chicago.

The storms also caused some power outages throughout the area.

Heavy downpours brought local flooding to scattered portions of the area, but nothing like the widespread flooding Saturday night in the wake of 2 to 5-inch rains that inundated  north portions of the metro area.

A Flash Flood Warning remains Cook County until 10:30 p.m.
