The National Weather Service had an excessive heat warning in effect from about noon Thursday until yesterday at noon. Temperatures climbed into the 90s, with a heat index over 100 degrees.
Thursday night's wild storms cooled things down a bit around the lakefront.
But temperatures will feel like the upper 90s and even over 100 degrees inland.
Doctors say those high temperatures can make some people start to feel sick, and it an get serious.
They recommend people try to stay cool but if they do spend time outdoors, to make sure they stay hydrated.
