Apollo 11 moon landing celebrates 47th anniversary today

It was 47-years ago today that the first human being set foot on the moon.

The Apollo 11 spacecraft touched down on the lunar surface with less than a minute's worth of fuel left on July 20, 1969.

More than half a billion people watched live as Neil Armstrong took his historic first steps and spoke the famous words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
