CHICAGO -- A 6-year-old girl is recovering after being shot outside her home in the city’s West Englewood neighborhood.

Tacarra Morgan was with her family on her front porch near 60th and Paulina, when a white SUV and two other vehicles passed by and someone in the SUV fired shots at a group of people on the sidewalk.

One of the bullets hit Tacarra in the abdomen.

Cell phone video recorded moments after the shooting captured Tacarra's uncle cradling her in his arms and paramedics working on her.

At least 43 shell casings were found, some possibly from return fire. Tacarra was the only person wounded.

She was treated overnight at Comer Children's Hospital and is expected to survive.

At 7 p.m. tonight,  a "Help Stop the Violence" rally will be held at the very location where Tacarra was shot.
