CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. — With a heat wave headed Chicago’s way, you may want to consider some alternative ways of keeping cool.

How about gliding down a humongous slip-and-slide? Well, you’ll have a chance to this weekend!

“Slide the City” will have their slip-and-slide ready to roll this Saturday from 10 am. to 6 p.m. at Maple Avenue and Rosewood Drive in Carpentersville, Ill. Ultimate Slider tickets are still available online for $40 each. This ticket will allow you to use the slide as many times as you’d like between 10am and 2pm or 2pm and 6pm, depending on which wave time you choose. You’ll also be lent a tube to slide with.

While this is a family-friendly event, children must be 5 years old or over 46 inches tall to go on the slip-and-slide.

Also, this same group is setting up THREE slip-and-slides at Chicago’s Cricket Hill near Montrose Beach on Saturday, July 30. More info here.
