CHICAGO -- Chicago police are investigating after two teenagers were shot early this morning in a Kenwood alley. One died at the scene, the other remains hospitalized. Police are still looking for suspects.

Police say the 15- and 16-year-old boys were walking down the alley near 47th and Ellis, when witnesses say a red minivan pulled into the alley and someone inside started shooting.

The 15-year-old was shot in the head and died at the scene, the 16-year-old was shot in the leg and is expected to be OK. But residents on this quaint Kenwood street say the gun violence is getting out of control.

Many say they would like to see more summer activities for kids and that might encourage them to stay out of trouble and "put the guns down."

Police are investigating whether the shooting was gang related and continue to search for suspects.
