CHICAGO -- The Black Lives Matters movement will hold its first official protest in Chicago today over the police shootings in Baton Rouge and Minnesota.

Other protesters demonstrated this weekend. They marched from Daley Plaza to Federal Plaza Sunday, then to the Taste of Chicago.

The demonstration ended much more peacefully, with only two arrests compared to 19 arrests a day earlier.

They were protesting the deaths of African-American men at the hands of white officers last week.

But, they also condemned the actions of the gunman who shot and killed five police officers in Dallas.

The group is planning a National Day of Action for August 6.
