CHICAGO — No classroom cuts will be needed when Chicago Public Schools open in the fall.

CPS will unveil a new school budget Wednesday.

The school board is promising that, thanks to a property tax hike, and some emergency money from Springfield, classroom instruction won’t be affected.

CPS still has to find $300 million in cuts or new revenue to balance the budget.
