Some Donald Trump delegates say they’re bringing guns when they travel to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland later this month.

Violence between protesters and Trump supporters at campaign rallies around the country have them concerned for their safety.

Weapons are banned inside the security zone that will be under federal control including Quicken Loans Arena and the area immediately surrounding it.

Trump delegate, James Klein, says he and others with concealed carry permits plan to be armed at their hotels and other areas in downtown Cleveland.

Klein also said he was prompted to arm himself after seeing comments from the Cleveland Police Patrolman’s Association that officers might not be properly prepared for the convention.
