Large gas line explosion near Dearborn, MI

MELVINDALE, Mich. — A large gas line explosion in Melvindale, Michigan, just outside of Dearborn, is forcing evacuations this morning.

Officials say a car went through a fence and hit a gas main around 3 a.m. Saturday morning.

One person in the car was hurt.

Many people have been uploading photos and videos of the fire and commenting about it on social media.

The force of the explosion was so powerful, one person on twitter reported feeling the blast in nearby Canada.
