When Jake Arrieta and Tommy La Stella found out their former college teams would be facing off in the semi-final round of the College World Series, it only seemed right to make a friendly wager.

This bet would see the loser having to get a tattoo representing the winner’s team.

After Coastal Carolina’s 7-5 win over TCU last night, it looks as though Arrieta will be wearing CCU’s victory for the rest of his life.

However, according to the Chicago Tribune’s Mark Gonzalez, Arrieta will only have to worry about people seeing his “CCU” tattoo under a blacklight, as he plans on using ink only visible under a blacklight lamp.

Before today’s game, La Stella, who is headed to Iowa for a rehab stint, wanted to leave a reminder to make sure Arrieta remembered to uphold his end of the bargain.

Arrieta is a good sport though and claims he will “wear it with honor.” With the Cubs in the midst of a road trip, the tattoo will have to wait until their arrival back in Chicago.
