CHICAGO - Even though there was an indication that it could happen, there was still a healthy amount of shock around Chicago around 2 PM Wednesday.

That's when the first reports of Derrick Rose's trade to the Knicks started circulating. An hour later the teams confirmed the move, and the star-crossed career of the homegrown guard was finished in Chicago.

The trade of Rose to the Knicks along with Justin Holiday and a second round pick for Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant has generated plenty of reaction here in the Windy City along with the rest of the basketball world. It also occupied the airwaves of 670 The Score, where our guest from Wednesday night heard a lot of fans give their opinion on the end of the Rose era.

Later on Wednesday, Julie DiCaro came on Sports Feed to give her opinion on the trade. She sat down with Jarrett Payton and Josh Frydman to discuss Rose's legacy in the city while also talking a little Cubs after they were swept for the first time this season.
