2 in custody after shots fired at Chicago police in Brighton Park

CHICAGO -- Two men are in custody after someone fired shots at Chicago police officers in the city’s Brighton Park neighborhood.

It happened at about 2 a.m. Wednesday morning near 34th and Artesian.

Police say no officers or anyone else was injured. The bullets damaged the squad car.

The officers responded to reports of shots fired when they saw the men standing on a street corner with a gun.

Officers arrested the two men after a brief foot chase.

Police say a weapon was recovered at the scene.
