NORRIDGE – At least one person was injured when car crashed into an IHOP restaurant near Irving Park and Harlem in Norridge this afternoon.

Witnesses say a woman was getting into a vehicle with another elderly woman in the handicapped spot in front of the restaurant when the car jumped the curb and crashed into the restaurant.

Someone inside the IHOP was pinned under the vehicle and later transported to Resurrection Hospital. They were last listed in serious condition.

Crews are already working to rebuild the side of the restaurant. Police are investigating the crash, and the driver will presumably be ticketed for the incident.
