CHICAGO —  A person was killed after they were struck by a train near the intersection of Homan Ave. and Harrison St.  on the Near North Side Sunday evening, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

As a result, CTA Blue Line service was temporarily suspended between the Racine and Cicero stops. Service has mostly been restored, but will be slower as trains in both directions operate on the same track between Western and Cicero. Passengers can only board on the O’Hare-bound side on Pulaski as well.

However, trains will continue to bypass the Kedzie stop as it remains closed.
