SAN FRANCISCO -- The former Stanford University swimmer sentenced to six months and probation for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman has been banned for life by USA Swimming.
Brock Turner, 20, will not be eligible to compete in any sanctioned events, including Olympic Trials, extending to any and all future events or trials.
A spokesman told USA Today that Turner hasn't been a member of USA Swimming since 2014.
They added that the USA Swimming code of conduct has zero tolerance for sexual misconduct and severe penalties, including a permanent ban for those who violate the code.
He's currently serving his six month sentence but could be released from jail as soon as September 2, just three months after he was admitted.
