Woman in custody after police pursuit of stolen ambulance

CHICAGO -- An adult female is in police custody after an ambulance was stolen from University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital early Tuesday morning.

Scanner reports indicate the ambulance went missing at 6:45 a.m. State police were notified of the incident at 7:35 a.m., and chased the vehicle until apprehending the suspect just before 8 a.m. on southbound Interstate 294 at Cicero.
