Father charged with murder in death of 2-month-old

CHICAGO — A man has been charged in Sunday’s killing of an infant on the Far South Side.

Police charged Brandon Holman, 34, with first degree murder in the death of 2-month old Bryson Holman. According to police, Holman is the victim’s father.

Police responded Sunday at around noon to the 3200 block of W. 83rd Place after a call of an unresponsive child. When they arrived they found the infant, who was taken to Hope Pediatric in Oak Lawn. The baby was pronounced dead at the hospital. According to police, the baby had been deceased “for sometime” [sic].

A medical examiner Sunday listed the death as a homicide and said the child had suffered “multiple injuries.”

Holman is due in bond court on Tuesday.
