CHICAGO — Children’s Memorial Hospital will face the wrecking ball on Tuesday.

According to DNAinfo, demolition of the six-acre site at Lincoln, Halsted and Fullerton, is more than a month behind schedule.

The demolition process and cleanup is expected to last through November.

The $350 million project will include two apartment buildings with 540 units, and up to 60 condos.

Construction will begin in December and may last about 2-and-a-half years.

The hospital has been vacant since 2012 when it moved to the city’s Streeterville neighborhood.
